Traffic during the first two weeks of school:

The first two weeks of school will be  a traffic challenge. We tried our best to give you an overview of the upcoming situation.  

Construction Starnberg Road and S-Bahn:
Due to construction work on the railway bridge in Starnberg, there will be a full closure of the B2 from 24 August to 6 September with corresponding diversions in the city area. This also affects rail traffic, which is being replaced by buses.  

Construction at Road from Gauting:  
The passage from the direction of Gauting through the Mühlthal is closed. There will therefore be considerable traffic disruptions in the urban area.  

Construction Pasing S-Bahn There will also be a blockage of the S-Bahn in Pasing during that time.

 

How to get to MIS:

If you come by Car:  We encourage you to use our area group chats to set up car pools for these two weeks.
  If you drive by car from Munich via Autobahn A95 to MIS you will not be affected by the roadblock. But allow a bit more time due to heavy traffic, as many people will take the car, as the trains are not running as usual. We also expect the MIS parking lot to be frequented by increased traffic.  
If you drive by car from Starnberg or Gauting – diversions will be set up. They are marked as „Umleitung“. If you come from Gauting take Hanfelder Straße, as the St 2063 is blocked at the same time as the tunnel in Starnberg. This will be the case until end of September.  

If you come by MIS Bus: Please see information from MIS Transport office regarding MIS Bus schedules.

If you come  by S-Bahn and public bus 904 The S-Bahn will be replaced by Busses (Schienenersatzverkehr SEV). But they do not stop at Starnberg Nord! There is an additional block at Pasing from 21st August to 4th of September. All these changes are incorporated in the MVV route planner. You will see all replacement Buses (Schienenersatzverkehr SEV) here. Please make sure to check the alternatives for week 1 and week 2 separately, as the blockage changes.
